Meet Your Therapist

I’m Deborah (she/her.)

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with over eight years of experience helping people move through life’s challenges with courage and self-compassion. My approach to therapy is rooted in a deep understanding of how meaningful growth happens when we feel truly seen and supported.

My journey into this work began early. Growing up in a family with its own dysfunctions, I experienced firsthand how relationships shape us—and how healing those relationships can change everything. Later, my own experiences navigating PTSD and chronic health challenges gave me insight into the profound resilience we all carry, even when it feels buried.

Fluent in both English and German, I value offering culturally sensitive and inclusive care to clients from diverse backgrounds.

Offering Therapy in East Vancouver & Online

I practice on the ancestral and unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

I acknowledge that I live and work as an uninvited guest on these occupied, traditional, and sacred lands. I recognize my intersectionality, privilege, and responsibility in the ongoing work of decolonization.

In 2013, I immigrated from Germany to Canada, making Vancouver my home. This major life transition gave me valuable perspective and a deeper understanding of the emotional and mental challenges immigrants often face. It has also fueled my passion for helping others navigate these changes with support, compassion, and clarity.
